Meet Our Founders
Marcellin Mutuyimana
Marcellin Mutuyimana (Co-Founder/Special Advisor) is an educator and nonprofit leader with over 15 years of experience in the United States, the United Arab Emirates, and Africa. He holds a Master’s degree in Mathematics Education from Georgia State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Wright State University. Driven by a deep belief in the transformative power of education, Marcellin co-founded Elimu Village with his wife, Aimee, to expand educational opportunities for underserved communities across Africa.
Aimee Fidela Halleluya
Aimee Fidela Halleluya (Co-Founder & Managing Director) is an educator and early childhood development advocate with teaching experience in international school settings in both the United Arab Emirates and the United States. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Phoenix and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Special Education at the University of Cincinnati. Aimee is deeply passionate about child development, inclusive education, and creating nurturing learning environments for children in underserved communities, values that continue to shape the mission of Elimu Village.
Our Founder's Motivation
The purpose of Elimu Village, Inc. is to champion holistic educational development in underprivileged African communities. This involves constructing schools, enhancing educational infrastructure, providing financial support to teachers, mobilizing volunteers, offering staff training, and establishing libraries and learning centers. Through strategic collaborations with individuals and organizations, Elimu Village strives to achieve shared goals and foster valuable networks in the field of educational advancement.
